I was astonished one day to discover that life stories were considered - in certain European and North American university circles - as both a knowledge advancement methodology and a means of self-awareness training...

The remaining of this page has not been translated yet. It can be consulted in French, Formation par l'autobiographie, or in Spanish, Autobiografía para formarse. To view a detailed status of translation to English of this site's web pages, please visit Reviewing. What follows is exclusively proposed in the English language version of this Web site, mostly because it is dependent on outside sources that are not available in French.

It can be learnt from J. M. Cox (1980), « Recovering literature's Lost Ground Through Autobiography », in J. Olney (éd.), Autobiography: Essays Theoretical and Critical, Princeton University Press, New Jersey, p. 123-145, that some writings not dealing with personal material can still provide autobiographical information about its author.

So, from that perspective, this entire Web site can be seen as autobiographical, in that it deals with those matters that I find of utmost importance. Hence it reveals who I am from a different perspective than does the explicitly autobiographical material published at www.savoiretcroire.ca, most of it however untranslated to English.

As I watched the recording of Canadian TV show 100 Huntly Street, I realized I was hearing someone testifying of Christ from a different angle than I do on this Web site, but with some of the same insights that changed my life. These videos are available at 100 Huntley Street: browse Videos, and Interviews, then scroll down to:

  • Sheila Walsh Takes a Good Look at The Storm Inside, Mar 6, 2014;
  • Sheila Walsh Rests Her Hope in Christ, Mar 7, 2014.

Several of the interviews at 100 Huntley Street are from Neil T. Anderson, an author to whom I relate greatly; first,with regard to what he shares of his own life through these interviews; second, with the emphasis he lays on our identity in Christ, and the practical daily decisions and peace that come with such an understanding of who we are through Christ. To access these: browse Videos, and Interviews, then type «Neil Anderson» next to the Search Videos button, click it, and select:
