The current section, Bible Study Material, of www.savoiretcroire.ca , supports and extends what is said in Knowing the Word of God. It proposes expository sermon notes, questions to encourage sharing about the themes developed in corresponding Bible expositions, and suggestions about how to prepare for leading or taking part in small group gathering for sharing together in a Bible Study framework.

To read the Bible on line and to have access to Bible study help requiring various degrees of background knowledge, you may want to visit the following Web sites:

  • http://www.biblegateway.com - also presented on page Knowing the Word of God of www.savoiretcroire.ca - this site allows reading the Bible or listening to it in one of several languages (ex: English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, German, Tagalog, Swahili, Latin, Hebrew and Greek Old Testament, Koine New Testament), and versions (ex: New International Version, Nueva Versión Internacional, Segond 21). It also provides complementary tools to help studying the Bible.
  • http://biblehub.com provides access to an equally impressive list of languages and versions of the Bible, but is more focused on comparing between Bible versions. It provides more sophisticated tools for Bible study. Some of these presuppose that the user has background knowledge of the Bible itself and of the languages in which it was originally written. Previous acquaintance with Strong's concordance system of reference and other classical study material is sometimes needed.

As you start studying the Bible, it may be helpful to also listen to some of the short video presentations available from http://www.biblestudytools.com, for example:
